Is Safe To Smoke Weed Rolled In Tissue Paper?

In those moments of desperation when you want to smoke and you ran out of rolling paper, any option may seem good, however, you should keep in mind that doing it regularly may cause risks to your health.

You can certainly use tissue paper to roll a joint, as well as almost any other type of paper. The problem is that many of these papers are made from wood pulp, which can contain chemicals.

You have to think that if rolling papers exist and are made from fine vegetable fibers such as flax, hemp, or rice, it is for a reason that goes beyond burning slower and more evenly.

Burning a rolled joint with another type of paper can mean ingesting highly toxic chemical gases such as sulfur dioxide and chlorine dioxide that will go directly into your lungs.

So if you start rolling your joints in tissue (or other) paper instead of paper made specifically for joints, you will end up doing significant damage to your lungs in the long run.

Steps For Using Tissue Paper To Roll A Joint:

We are all free to make the choices we want, so if you still want to roll your joint with tissue paper, here we will show you how to do it the right way.

Before you start, keep in mind that it’s going to be a little more complicated to use and no doubt the paper will burn differently than what you’re used to with rolling paper.

In general, the process is pretty similar to regular rolling paper, however, there are a couple of things to watch out for.

Follow these simple steps to roll your joint and prevent it from falling apart:

  1. Get a sheet of tissue paper (preferably uncolored).

  2. Cut the tissue paper to about 68 mm long and 34 mm wide (as close as possible to regular rolling paper).

  3. Use the grinder or your hands to grind the weed.

  4. Fold the tissue paper in half (horizontally) and fill the paper with the herb.

  5. Add the crutch (Optional).

  6. Carefully pack and shape your joint.

  7. Pack the end and twist the top tightly to close it.

If you have done everything right, you should now have a beautiful joint in your hands that although it will burn faster, will let you enjoy your marijuana without having to run out and buy a rolling paper.

Good Alternatives To Rolling Papers:

We hope that with all that we have told you, you no longer have the doubt: Can you use tissue paper to roll a joint?

However, you may now be thinking: What if I don’t have tissue paper at home either? Aren’t there other alternatives to roll my joint?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

There are plenty of household items you can use to roll a joint on the spur of the moment. Here are a couple of other substitutes that work quite well for rolling a joint:

Chewing Gum Wrapper:

Usually, in any group of stoners, someone has a pack of chewing gum on hand to hide the smell of marijuana on their breath.

The silver foil wrapped in chewing gum will be the perfect material to improvise your last-minute joint.

To do so, you only have to separate the aluminum foil from the thin paper and use this wrapper to wrap your favorite weed.

Apples:

This is certainly not a paper and can be rather peculiar but very popular with the more experienced smokers.

With an apple you will be able to make yourself a smoking pipe, you will only need a fresh apple, a pen, and aluminum foil. Follow these steps:

  • With the help of the pen, open two holes at a 90-degree angle and make sure the two holes intersect, creating an uninterrupted air channel.

  • Punch small holes in the aluminum foil and place it over one of the holes you made earlier.

  • Now place the weed on the foil, light it and start smoking through the side hole!

Bible Sheets:

We think it’s pretty crazy too but believe it or not, bible pages are pretty similar to rolling paper (except for the ink).

Just take a piece of the sheet that has no ink on it (we want to avoid at all costs consuming toxic gases) and follow the same process we explained with the tissue paper!

There are many other materials you can use to roll your joint, but whatever you do, avoid using toilet paper at all costs. The paper is very spongy and thick, which will cause your joint to crumble and burn badly.

Conclusion:

You see, now when you are asked if you can use tissue paper to roll a joint, you will have the right answer along with a large arsenal of materials that you can use to smoke your weed without stress.

The alternatives can be endless, but it is necessary that before using any material you have at hand, you take some time to think about the negative aspects that this could have for your health in the short and long term.

As we have already seen, some materials can be very harmful to your health and we assure you that the ink will not be the only problem!
