RSO Syrup

I’ll be honest—sometimes I don’t feel like baking a batch of brownies or spending hours in the kitchen making edibles. I just want something quick, versatile, and easy to dose. That’s exactly why I started making this RSO Syrup.

It’s smooth, sweet, and incredibly simple to make. The best part? You can drizzle it over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, yogurt, mix it into coffee, tea, lemonade, cocktails, mocktails… pretty much anything that could use a little sweetness and a little cannabis magic. 🙂

Unlike traditional infused syrups that require making infused sugar or butter first, this recipe uses Rick Simpson Oil (RSO), making it one of the quickest infused recipes you can whip up.

Let’s get started!

Why You’ll Love This Rick Simpson Oil Syrup

  • Super Versatile: Use it in drinks, desserts, or over your favorite treats.
  • Ready in Minutes: You’ll have a fresh batch in about 15 minutes.
  • Easy to Dose: Easy to calculate THC per teaspoon.

DIY RSO Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar.
  • 1 cup water.
  • 1 gram RSO (Rick Simpson).
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional).
  • 1 tbsp vegetable glycerin (optional).

Tools:

  • Small saucepan.
  • Whisk.
  • Measuring cups & spoons.
  • Silicone spatula.
  • Glass jar with lid.
  • Digital scale (optional).

Instructions:

1. Make the simple syrup: Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved.

2. Simmer gently: Once the sugar has dissolved, let the syrup gently simmer for about 3-5 minutes. There’s no need to boil it aggressively—you simply want everything fully incorporated.

3. Add the RSO: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the RSO and whisk thoroughly until it’s completely dissolved into the syrup. If you’re using vanilla extract or vegetable glycerin, stir them in now as well.

4. Let them set: Allow the syrup to cool for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep everything well mixed.

5. Bottle it up: Transfer the syrup into a clean glass bottle or mason jar and refrigerate until completely chilled.

Tips For Better Rick Simpson Oil Syrup

  • Calculate Your Potency: Before making your syrup, figure out the total THC in your RSO. Divide that by the total number of teaspoons (about 48 teaspoons per 2 cups of syrup) to estimate the potency of each serving.

  • Shake Before Using: Since RSO is a thick cannabis extract, giving the bottle a quick shake before each use helps keep everything evenly mixed.

  • Don’t Overheat the RSO: Since RSO has already been activated, there’s no need to cook it for long periods. Stirring it into the warm syrup is all it takes.

Serving Suggestions

Stirred into coffee, tea, lemonade, or sparkling water for an easy infused drink. It also tastes great drizzled over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, or cheesecake, mixed into cocktails, oatmeal, or yogurt, or brushed onto cakes for added moisture and flavor!

One of my favorite things about this RSO Syrup is how incredibly convenient it is. Instead of making a new batch of infused treats every time I want an edible, I can simply reach into the fridge, grab a spoonful of syrup, and instantly elevate just about any food or drink. It’s simple, versatile, and one of those recipes you’ll find yourself making again and again.

If you give this recipe a try, let me know what you poured it over! I’m always looking for new ideas, and I’d love to see your infused creations. 🍁
